The boat tour to Eqi glacier – The active calving glacier The boat tour to Eqi glacier with Ilulissat Escape takes approximately 2 hours from Ilulissat city. Eqi glacier is one of the most active in Greenland and is located 80 km north of Ilulissat in the north-eastern part of Disko Bay. On this boat tour you are going to meet a lot of icebergs on the way and there is a chance to meet whales if you are lucky. The captain will stop on the way if he sees some whales and give you a chance to take some pictures. On arrival to the front of the glacier the captain will find a safe area and you will be able to enjoy the silence with a view to magnificent glaciers. Here we will serve a sandwich, coffee and tea. After arrival to the destination Throughout 2 hours you will be able to listen to the most beautiful sound, silence. Just being broken by cracks and bangs from the glacier. Sit back and enjoy!
